The Sensory Zone at Underwater Street uses some of our interactive models to really test every sense!

Children can listen to stories and enjoy the light show in the special Wig Wam story tents or try to walk the line using our reverse vision telescope.

Reverse Vision

Use a special viewer to look down at your own feet. Try walking around the pole, but be careful, it isn't as easy as you might think.

[The special prism inside the lens reverses what your left and right actually see]

The Dark

Story Tents

Crawl inside the tent and sit or stand next to the slowly rotating coloured light and listen to the story of Timothy in the Wilderness Garden, a boy who discovered a world of wild animals living around his home.

The Dark

The dark is not to be frightened of, come inside and you will see coloured lights making coloured shadows. A flash will freeze your shadow onto a sheet of luminous plastic. The suspended mirror-ball bounces light all around.
