Spinning Tops

This was inspired by the remarkable popularity of Ian Russell's growing personal collection of spining tops. (Which he stores in a flashy flight case and is accompanied by a large wooden fruit-bowl, there are his favourite social icebreaker for both adults and children.)

Spinning Washers

Children move the washers up the threaded steel rods to the top and can watch then spin rapidly as they slowly make their way back down.
